Recent Pics

Last weekend Jim was out of town on a youth retreat so Caleb and I saw a lot more of my parents during that time. We spent the night with them one night to see how Caleb liked sleeping there. He didn't even care that I was there with him I don't think. :)
My parents also helped keep Caleb while I was volunteering/shopping at the big consignment sale.
I did enjoy my time with just Caleb and me at home. I love playing with him and making him laugh. He did miss his Daddy though and was happy to see him Tuesday. He was so excited that he ran through the house wanting his daddy to chase him for a long time. When Jim is home at night that is their ritual they do before bath time.
So, here are a few pictures from the past few days.

He was also watching Veggie Tales while eating the goldfish

Last week we took advantage of the free night at Creative Discovery Museum. I think Caleb had a great time playing. I'm glad that have an area for kids under 4 to play in so that he wasn't running all over the place. I think they have free night once a month so we might try it again next month!

A Walk on the Bridge

This morning I was trying to think of something for us to do to get out of the house. It was cloudy so I didn't think it would be too hot at 10:30 when we left. I decided to take Caleb for a walk on the walking bridge downtown. We got lucky and found a close free parking space near the bridge. We walked to one end and back and by then it was getting HOT. Caleb seemed to enjoy it as he was relaxed in the stroller. We got to see the Southern Belle Riverboat go under the bridge as it was playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for some reason. I looked to see if the boat was full of kids but it wasn't. HA! Caleb watched the boat till it passed under the next bridge and we couldn't see it anymore.
We also stopped in a new cute little ice cream shop near where we parked. I think it is called The Ice Cream Show. I had me some vanilla ice cream mixed with brownies. They mix it up till the brownie is very tiny pieces. I thought it was too expensive for what you get but it was good. Caleb didn't have any even though I did offer him some. He will not eat anything new to him. It's fine with me though. As long as he doesn't eat sweets the better.

This is just a picture to show that he is out of his high chair now and sitting at the table with us in his booster seat. Like a good boy that he is...eating his broccoli!!
